My piece ‘Twilight Echo’ is a serene painting of a soft orange sunset over a lake. An orange and blue contrasting colour palette was chosen in the sky as the two colours work together to conrtast one another, yet compliment the soft yellow focal point in the bottom left. Small islands sit on water, holding neon green and pink trees. Soft burnt orange and navy water softly show the trees reflections. Twilight Echo was created by using a new technique of painting called acrylic pouring. This fluid medium creates thousands of abstract patterns and bubbles.
Twilight Echo is finished in a specialwalnut pine wood stained frame which brings out the orange pops of colour. The canvas is a 1.5 deep gallery wrapped canvas, which sits in a 2.75 inches depth frame. This large statement painting will thrive against a large brightly lit wall.
