My piece ‘The Last Sunset’ is inspired by family members lost over the years. Two empty Muskoka chairs sit on a wooden dock on Nipissing Lake. The sky is an explosion of reds, oranges and pinks blending dynamically with cooler tones, creating a captivating backdrop. Dark silhouettes of distant trees on the water and a lone tree on the right canvas ground the scene.
